Faber and Gardner Win Spring 2012 Bullfrog Open

faber.gardner_bfopen.JPG     Ty Faber and John Gardner fished the STQT at Lake Powell and both made the State Team.  But that was not the final cast of the trip for this pair.

     At the 2012 STQT at Lake Powell, Ty Faber finished in 12th Place and John Gardner in 7th.  But that just wasn’t good enough!  The two anglers from the Southwest Colorado Bassmasters had planned on fishing the Bullfrog Open held on the Saturday and Sunday right after the STQT.  It’s a good thing they did; they went out and won the tournament!


2012 Ft. Carson Kid’s Fishing Day: June 16

Ft._Carson_4.jpg     The 7th annual Ft. Carson Kid’s Fishing Day is June 16, 2012.  In years past we took about 30-40 kids of deployed Ft. Carson military personnel out for a half day of fishing at Pueblo Reservoir - this year we're looking at 80 kids so we'll be looking for about 45 or more boats. We need boaters!

     A new tool is being developed and may soon be available to combat Zebra Mussel invasions.  A form of treatment that is not poisonous to the water system in other ways, including not being harmful to fish populations.  Here is an article from the WSJ.
