Youth Program

Frank-Villa250.jpgColorado Bass Federation Nation Youth Clubs allow kids to get involved in the great Colorado outdoors and to learn from anglers who really know what they are doing.  CBFN anglers volunteer their time to help kids of all abilities and knowledge become better anglers.  Kids also have the chance to compete, like the adults, in local kid’s only events, and earn a State Team membership to represent Colorado Youth Clubs at regional events.

Several local Bass Clubs affiliated with the CBFN have youth clubs and can be contacted through this site.

CBFN Junior Bassmasters

bass_youth100.pngThe Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (BASS) and The Colorado Bass Federation Nation (CBFN) understand the importance of promoting our youth. With help from 3 of our adult clubs the CBFN promotes youth angling by supporting 3 Junior Bass Clubs currently on the Front Range of Colorado with hopes to have more possibly on the Western Slope. The 3 clubs consist of the Northern Colorado Junior Bass Club, affectionately known as the Fighting Fishsticks, based out of the tri-city area of Northern Colorado (Greeley, Ft Collins, Loveland), The Denver Junior Bassmasters covers the central portion of Colorado and is based in the Denver area, The Colorado Junior Bass Anglers is our newest Junior club and is based out of the Pueblo/Colorado Springs area and covers the southern area of Colorado. >>> read more

Pikes Peak Junior Bassmasters

The Junior Club version of the Pikes Peak Bassmasters was established in 2011.  Youth anglers meet along with the club’s adult anglers on the 1st Monday of each month.  The Pikes Peak Bassmasters teach anglers of all ages the “ins and outs” of catching bass in Colorado and other states.  Youth anglers fish with and are included in most all adult club activities and are guided along by some of the top anglers in the country. >>> read more

The first B.A.S.S. affiliated Youth Club west of the Mississippi River, the Denver Junior Bassmasters (DJBM) Youth Club was created by the Denver Bassmasters with the purpose of reaching out to Colorado’s youth to teach fishing, enjoyment and stewardship of the outdoors.

The DJBM is supported by the adult club, volunteers, parents, and mentors who share their time and knowledge with the hope that the experience will better prepare our youth to take on life’s challenges.
